I was amazed at all the helpful replies I received. Thanks to all of you.
I believe I have sent everyone an individual reply but just in case you did
not get my message I want you all to know that I am very pleased with the
information I have received and I am more comfortable in making a decision.
It will not be an easy decision because I believe all the companies have
their merits but I now feel better about the whole idea of testing. Thank
you.

I have decided to order the Y and mtDNA tests but am still wondering which
is the best company to order from. I like the fact that DNA Heritage tests
for 43 markers for the Y DNA test but since I am ordering both tests should
I go with Family Tree DNA which offers both but with fewer markers? Or is
there any benefit to getting one Y test (43 marker) from DNA Heritage and
the mtDNA test from Family Tree?
