Hello Judy and Eldon, and everyone else following the thread
As promised, I have put a chart of 'H5 lines' on my website.
www.brookingsociety.org.uk/discussion/hap_H5.htm
or, if it is giving you trouble, try,
www.ilbg18230.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/discussion/hap_H5.htm
What I have tried to show is that from the set of over 650 complete
mtDNA sequences collected together on my site, there are 23 lines for H5.
All of these are 'H' sequences with mutations at 456 and 16304.
3 of the lines conform to H5a by having the mutation at 4336,
and 11 others to H5a1, because they also have the mutation at 15833.
Unfortunately, for Judy, the 'new member' to our list, her sequence is not
on the chart. (She has an uncommon mutation at 485.)
And, just to throw in a one-liner .....
.... might there be a million people with each of these lines ........
Any comments anyone ?
Ian
