Just got results from FTDNA but no haplogroup. Is it unusual to be unable
to determine a haplogroup with a good sample? Roxanne

Hello Roxanne

If you just let us see your mtDNA results then there several on the list
who can tell you why there might be a problem.

However, it would seem that FTDNA often does a further specific test or two,
but doesn't let you have the actual results - it just gives the haplogroup letter.

For example, they might test for '7028' and then say you are in Haplogroup H,
or '5178' and say you are in D, etc.

And this will take them a few days to do as they surely don't run
the more special tests even weekly.
