Ellen,

A simple way to do this is to start a yahoo group. Any member may then
upload a file to a folder and others may download files of interest.
Additionally, discussions on any specific article would be threaded and
easy to read. Searches on specific files can be made simple if a naming
system for the files is agreed upon, ie. yDNA, mtDNA, Neolithic,
Paleolithic, or by author's surname. One may also choose the option to
have a personal e-mail alert sent when something is uploaded, or may
elect to just check periodically without additional e-mails cluttering
your mailbox.
