It seems the big advantage is getting the 5 markers not tested by FTDNA.

Don't you think they will add these markers in the near future, if they are
valuable?

It's hard enough to get people to send in their DNA to one place, trying to
get vital descendants to test at two places seems downright impossible!

I don't know if they are going to order them in the "near" future or in the
future at all. I have discussed it with Bennett and he said he's thinking
about options.

As to valuable, remember that ANY marker CAN mutate and turn out to be the
"tag" for your lineage. For my group of 37/37 matches SOMETHING in that batch
DNAH offers and Biotix offers some of better have mutations! Any marker is
valuable if it strengthens a match or helps sort really close matches.

I have folks who balk at sending DNA more than one place and others who
would cheerfully send it anywhere I recommended. Of course I have carefully
explained to all my participants why I recommend additional markers and which
ones and I have carefully worked to keep their costs to a minimum.
Unfortunately one of my "vital descendants" is a balker :( Worst of all, he AGREED to it
an other participants paid for his kits and then he balked and sent them
back. (Still trying to sweet talk him into reconsidering though!) Needless to
say the folks who paid for it are NOT happy! We can, if he continues to
refuse, reassign the kits, but those folks wanted HIS DNA not somebody else's.
