That depends on what you would consider a benefit. The current offering
of SNP tests at FTDNA would merely confirm the I haplogroup, which you
share with millions. You could instead go for more STR markers, which
might lead you to discover a match with potentially close kin.

What is the latest on getting better SNP tests available? Could it be that
the genographic project will cause FT DNA to put off their intentions to
have more?
