Hi folks,
I note the Y-DNA Comparison Tool calculates a modal for the group. Can any one explain the uses and purposes of this to me.
My guesses are
a) it's chief use is for those individuals known to be connected.
b) it is an estimate of the base haplogroup for those individuals. Therefore nearest to the common ancestor.
How can this be utilised?
Many thanks,
Chris
