Eric,

Whenever you have a comment about list administration policies, address them
to me privately. It has always been the policy of this list that opinions
regarding list administration are off-topic. Also discussions about other
subscribers' religious beliefs have always been off-topic. These are not my
personal policies but were in place long before I was involved.

So far your concern about a backfire appear to be unfounded. I've received
several messages thanking me for addressing the list.
