As a 4-week-old newbie, I just wanted to say that I agree entirely with the
above statement. When I first joined the list, I asked some questions which
now already seem to me to have been "uninformed," to put it nicely. Since
then, I've learned a great deal reading this list every day, and wouldn't
hesitate to ask more questions (although I'm sure they also would seem
uninformed to me down the road). I've always received prompt, courteous,
informative, and encouraging responses, and was never made to feel as if I
was asking my questions in the wrong forum. Plus, I find the (usually not
too mean-spirited) sparring between those with expertise somewhat
entertaining/stimulating/thought-provoking!
