It would be nice to find out what role the NGS GENOGRAPHIC
project had to change this algorithm, if any..

Matter of fact, any news about the results from the NGS GENOGRAPHIC project
would be nice !!

I think there must be some internal discussions going on (or needed) at
FTDNA, as I received a couple of notes from Max this morning in response to
questions I directed to him. He said that they would be changing YSearch
back to the
step-wise model, and that a "point=step" on the "Interpreting Genetic
Distance" guidelines. I'm sending a CC of this message to Max, so hopefully
we can get
everybody on the same page. I wasn't even aware that we were on different
pages, so this has been extremely useful, Georgia, and all your work on
illustrating the difference between Infinite Alleles and Step-Wise models
will still be
educational.
