this may be stating the obvious but as it hasn't been said explicitly:
if a project has a number of members who are likely to share a recent common ancestor and who all have the same values for the relevant extended test marker (i.e. 385 or 464), then only *one* of the group needs to be tested with the extended test. To me it seems extremely unlikely that either of these markers could mutate in such a way as to "converge" to an identical "standard" test format (i.e. values in ascending order) but with a distinct "extended" format, at least in a genealogical timeframe.
The same applies to SNP testing - no need to test more than one person per lineage group.
