I must agree with you here. It is probably not a good
idea to tell a person seeking further information on
their DNA results that his R1a indicates "Slavic"
origin or his J2 indicates "Turkish or Jewish" origin.
Although R1a appears to have entered the British
Isles with the Vikings, we have no idea if it was
present in the British Isles prior to the Vikings (I
suspect it must have been) and in what frequency. A
Wallace who is R1a or J2 is just as "British" in his
ethnic ancestry as someone who is I or R1b.
