FTDNA has been great about rerunning samples that were questionable, even if
the only questioning was in people's disbelieving minds. Of course, I don't
ask every day.

Do you know of any testing company that won't recheck data without charge?
Did FTDNA ever rerun a sample for you at no charge?

each time an error was suspected they rechecked the results without
