I had my husband's uncle's DNA tested because my paper trail hit a big brick
wall. The surname is Kemper, but he is Not part of the Germanna Kempers that
came over in the 1700's. He immigrated to Cincinnati, around 1882. However,
I have no idea where he came from in Germany and every attempt I've made to
narrow the location bears no fruit.

My hopes were probably way too high. I had hoped that he would match someone
and I could get an idea of where to look in Germany. Since he was a grinder
in a flour mill, I even entertained the thought that Kemper was a name taken
during an apprenticeship.

His first 12 markers don't match anyone, never mind 37 markers. My FTDNA
matches page is completely empty. What's even better is that his mtDNA is
the same way. (Mitosearch code: UVN3B) Now I'm not sure what to do next.
When I imput his numbers into Whit's predictor I get:
33 for J2
46 for Q
45 for R1b

His ysearch code is ZZ6RU. Can someone please advise me on how to proceed?
So what is he? Is he a dying haplotype? Is he the first of his kind? How can
I use this information to help me find out more about both his recent and
distant past?

Thanks for any suggestions and expertise that you are willing to share.
