Hello Ana

What I understand is that all of the people in the cluster I am speaking of,
now believe they descend from what I recall to be 2 families of "Palatines"
who used the name Liebenstein and similar, and also appear a few times in
records as Lowensteins.

However I think some of them have had other ideas, and I am not sure all of
them have yet linked their paper trail back to these immigrants from
Germany, so it just might be possible that there is a connection back via
Scotland. But I'd have to ask the genealogists of that branch.

As to your own Livingstons, please keep an eye out for any that may be
around, as they would be very welcome in the project of course. Without
knowing their DNA signature, and not being an expert on PA Livingstons, I
can not comment on whether they might be related. There do seem to have been
several families in the region even in quite early times.

The project's main page these days is at:-

Best Regards
Andrew

Andrew,

It's very interesting but I wonder if those Livingstons whom you speak
of may be related to this Livingston line and it is the reason they
match so many other Scottish Livingstons?
