Area

This will be basically the same presentation I did in November at the
Washington DC International Conference. I apologise to those souls who were
in DC and also intend to attend the Atlanta Area ISOGG meeting. It will be
great if there are a significant number with that problem, as we'd like to
see an active chapter emerge in the Atlanta Area.

I will also be speaking to the Cobb County Genealogical Society at the same
library two weeks earlier, on February 28, also at 7:00 pm. This talk will
be on "DNA in Genealogy", which starts with a quick overview of the
fundamentals and then shares a series of quick stories on what you can learn
through the use of DNA in Genealogy. It is drawn from my own experiences
across a number of my ancestral families. Our hope is that this first talk
will set the stage with the Cobb County group so that they'll want to return
two weeks later for the in-depth review of a single project (and get their
first introduction to ISOGG). If it works out, we'll have recruited a base
of support for ISOGG from those we don't usually reach.

Oh, this Cobb County group who received an excellent presentation on DNA
last year from Peter Roberts, so they already are aware of the
possibilities.

Best regards, Terry Barton
