Hi Mark,
Thank you for your comments, I agree with you 100%
That said, I'd like to point out two things
1.- kvetch Slang
intr.v. kvetched, kvetching, kvetches
To complain persistently and whiningly.
Mine was a comment, not a complaint. I made it clear I am not a customer of
that company so I can't possibly be complaining.
2.- bash
v. bashed, bashing, bashes
1. To strike with a heavy, crushing blow: The thug bashed the hood of the
car with a sledgehammer.
2. To beat or assault severely: The police arrested the men who bashed an
immigrant in the park.
3. Informal. To criticize (another) harshly, accusatorially, and
threateningly: He bashed the... government unmercifully over the... spy
affair (Lally Weymouth).
In my comment I never attacked or criticized the company in question, I
merely pointed out something I see as a troublesome practice for the future
of the industry as a whole. In order to bash I would have had to actually
made a criticism of some sort, and in this regard that criticism would had
to have been "accusatory and threatening" no such thing was done by me.
Comments can be productive or not. I believe my post was productive because
it was pointing out something I see as a potential problem in the future for
both; the customers of that company and the customers of their competition.
I fail to see how does what you say apply to my post.
Eli

Life is hard. I thought at least some folks have urged that we stop the
pointless bashing. If you want to use Family Tree, use it. If you don't
want to, don't. Kvetching helps noone. None of us has been crowned king.
We are simply skilled tool users who are now blessed with a number of
complementary tools.
