No slow down here Pat. We have had nine new participants, and five 37 marker
upgrades in the past two months That's above average for the Davenport
Surname project. Four of the new ones took advantage of the FTDNA gift
certificates.

Is it my imagination or are we seeing a significant drop in the
number of new Y-STR participants? There were a few months last year
when I would frequently see new FTDNA matches/near matches, or new
matches at Ysearch, or new matches at RG, etc. It seems like it has
been several months since I have seen any new matches/near matches on
any database. This suggests to me that tests for new participants
aren't coming in. It seems that I have seen lots of previous
participants adding new tests, but fewer new participants. How is it
going for others?
