What gets me is that one of the major so-called 'free' genealogical
databases deems it appropriate to actually strip out references and research
notes (and insert ads for themselves and bunches of irrelevant extras).
Since a major part of my research in 'traditional' genealogy consists of
tracing and documenting the references that they consider irrelevant, I no
longer send updates or anything else to that particular institution.
