Hi Glen,
Not being able to contact a person who has info on the internet is my
biggest complaint. I'm sure you all noticed my hotmail address..since 1999..
My ISP is earthlink.. Why a different email account? because I have been
posting on the internet EVERYWHERE, and want others to be able to contact
me. I have recieved requests for info on posts that I made in 1999.. back to
why... it won't change if I change my ISP! I don't have to return to the old
messages which are buried deep into the past..and hard to find.. to update
the address..
Now as to the Biggest Free site hummmmmmmmmmmmm rootsweb.com? I believe it
is the choise of the poster of the lineage to allow sources to be listed or
not.. at least when mine was there using advanced I was given the choise?
My problem is that people get upset if you take thier research notes, as a
list manager the biggest thing I see is "it's mine you have no right to copy
it...oh my.. some real heavy flaming can go on if thats the subject. These
are the type usually who want to brag about thier lineage but don't want to
share it..don't want to prove it and probably would not do a DNA study
fearing all those years of hard work will be for nothing..
Just my opinions and complaints
