Actually, the first mtDNA project that I know about is the test by Ann
Turner and a cousin as mentioned on page 68 of "Trace Your Roots with DNA."
I did start my project before I saw that, but the idea came from a posting
here by Ann. Ann's test was back when Oxford Ancestors was the only game in
town. My test may have been the first high-resolution one.
