Eric
I do not want to over-simplify. All the true experts in this area (not me)
are making good efforts to fit this DNA reality with the histories, which
were already known to be capable of multiple interpretations.
By putting the seeming paradox in words I wanted to let everyone know how
interesting this subject has become.
Best Regards
Andrew

Not to speak out of turn, but the DNA can only be expected to reveal the
genetic facts. If they fly in the face of long-held and cherished
traditions, then those traditions need to be re-examined in light of the
new evidence. It will be fascinating to see how this challenge is
resolved, if it can be resolved. Am I wrong in seeing parallels here with
the notorious NPEs, or even the Scopes trial? Science vs traditionally
held beliefs?
