That's actually a very interesting question. I suspect that you're right,
and that Y-hap-I would indeed show up somewhat disproportionately in
Yorkshire, both because of the Danelaw and Norman Viking influences (as well
as later backflow from Scottish and Irish Vikings - Yorkshire is one of the
most northern counties in England; as close to Glasgow as to London.) I'm
I1b2* myself, of a line that's known Yorkshire and strongly suspected
Norman. It's a bit late to be starting anything tonight, but I'll do some
investigation tomorrow and see if there are any Yorkshire or Borders
research projects that might provide interesting information.
