Hi, John:

I recently submitted my SNP results to your site. I'm R1b1 and my Y-search
ID is 868ZR. I don't know what deep-clade testing can reveal about my
background that I would understand -- but I just ordered the deep-clade SNP test from
FTDNA, anyway.What should I be looking for? Would Ethnoancestry have
provided information that I won't get from the FTDNA test? I ordered the super-duper
mtDNA test from FTDNA early on, and learned that I my mtDNA Haplogroup is
H*. I presume that means I can look to "Helena" from "The Seven Daughters of
Eve" as my prototypical female ancestor? What I was really hoping to accomplish
with these "deeper" tests is to find out if my James family came from
Cornwall or Wessex or Wales, or wherever, 1,000 or 1,500 years ago, as opposed to
Iberia 17,000 years ago. From what I gather from reading this list, that was a
naive thought, so what should I be looking to learn?

Thanks in advance for your help, and I apologize if these questions are
tiresome for those who actually paid attention in science class.
