The 1841 census of England and Wales turns up a handful fo BIGLOWs.

Llanfihangel Helygen, Radnorshire
Walton on the Hill, Lancashire
Ayton, Yorkshire
Whitby, Yorkshire
Thursby, Cumberland
St George the Martyr, Middlesex
St Martin in the Fields, Middlesex

There is not a BIGELOW to be found so that [sic] might not be.:-)

Soundex is trying to tell me that Bachlew/Bachle etcetera are variants.
Hum. There are BAGALOWs and BAGLOWs in Devon and Cornwall. All most
interesting I am sure.

Regards,
Rebekah
