My father had very blue eyes and my mother had the darkest brown eyes I have
ever seen (they would get even darker when she become angry or maybe that
was my imagination at work ;-)). Her father had blue eyes and her mother had
brown eyes.
My brother (the oldest) has blue eyes, my sister (next in line) has green
eyes and I have hazel eyes which are more brown than green. I always thought
that if my parents had another child that it would have had brown eyes but who
knows.

Brown is not always dominant. My father is hazel
and my mother brown. All of their children had
brown eyes so one would agree with the theory.
However, my wife has hazel eyes and four out of
five of our children are hazel. The other has brown
eyes. My sister married a fellow with hazel or blue
eyes and their two children have his colour and not
her brown eyes. I'm sure there are many similar cases.
