Jonathan,

You've heard the old saying, "He who pays the piper calls the tune." Well, "He
who wants to call the tune pays the piper." IOW, whoever wants the test taken
is the one who pays for it, and I've spent well over $1000 having kin tested.
I've even gone so far as to offer a bonus (read bribe) to someone who was
reluctant to be tested. I've also donated to my project's General Fund just to
encourage people to join or upgrade, as you can see from the project web page:

Those were all donations to get people tested/upgraded who were not my kin; I
did it for the good of the project. I also have standing offers on the

It's not that I'm wealthy, it's simply that I'm getting old, and I'd like to see
some results before I die. I don't drink, smoke, or gamble, but I do have an
expensive habit to support: genealogy!
