Thanks very much for that summary.

I thought there was an upcoming paper which would address the question
of whether J1 originated in Iran. Anyway, if I'm reading the summary
correctly, that paper presents no evidence to dispute the generally held
view that J1 originated further west in the Fertile Crescent.
