I don't see how these square with the results of this study in 2004:

It specifically tested for M170, the SNP for Hg I, and found that
34% of Tehran inhabitants are of Hg I
10% of Isfahan inhabitants are of Hg I
Can the inhabitants of Iranian cities really be so very different from those
in the countryside?
