Ken and Anne
Have been asking
.......
I still don't know what "kinds of R1b" they classified as Germanic,
which
was my original question. In other words, are they calling "germanic"
the same
haplotypes we have called Germanic or not?
.....
Having read the paper, it concentrates solely on modelling population
growth, relative reproductive isolation of "invaders" and natives plus
relative reproductive success of these groups. It takes as its input
likely historical migration estimates and compares its output estimates
to the various DNA studies specifically Weale and Cappelli. As such it
does not even deal with issues such as the ability to accurately
classify Germanic R1b.
Cheers
