Dear Nelda,
Thanks for your great work on the comparison chart
http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~bonsteinandgilpin/dna/ydnaco.htm
It looks quite complete, but please let me give some comments that may
help all customers:
You know my opinion on a, b, c ... labels on palindromic markers, but I
don't want to interfer with your table.
DYS389 should be separated in DYS389I and DYS389II, not a and b. This is
a different type of marker.
DYS425 is identical to DYF371 T-type. You should indicate that somewhere.
DYS527 is identical to DYF401 and is also available via us.
DYS635 is also available via us.
GATA-A4 is officially called Y-GATA-A4.
GATA-A7(1) is officially called Y-GATA-A7.1 and is identical to DYS460
GATA-A7(2) is officially called Y-GATA-A7.2 and is identical to DYS461
DYF371 results have normally 4 alleles and are NOT singular.
DYF385 has normally 2 alleles.
DYF399 has normally 3 alleles.
DYF401 has normally 2 alleles.
DYF408 has normally 4 alleles, but only 2 STR alleles.
You may also add DYF411 which has normally 2 alleles and which is
available via us.
I hope this helps,
Thomas
