All haplotypes (in a clade or variety) are of the same age; in fact all
haplotypes - period are of the same age. All are male lines for any male on
earth started out from the genetic Adam.
Some have diverged a lot from the original founder's haplotype, most a
moderate amount and some a little amount --- all a result of the throws of
the mutational dice.
So I don't buy this "closer to the center the more ancient ....."; in fact I
don't know what it would mean?
What are younger or older are the various founders for clades and varieties.
This is measured, or at least we try to measure those ages, by the variance
of each founder's descendant population as seen today.
