Subject: Re: [DNA] Sorenson mtDNA search engine bug

Well maybe I've been trying to follow this thread too late at night or
too early in the morning, or maybe I'm just the only person confused by
this. So let me unashamedly ask:
Exactly what numbers do I put into the Sorenson search engine to search
on this sequence?
048A,093C,224C,291T,311C,519C 073G,195C,263G,315.1C,497T,524.1C,524.2A
Thanks in advance.

part of
your search strategy. That region has several sets of "AC" in a row, and
mutations (insertions and deletions of the "AC" motif) in that region
almost
always come in pairs. In fact, I can't recall off-hand seeing one
without the
other, although it's theoretically possible, like partial repeats in Y
STR markers.
