I had the same statement from FTDNA about some of SNPs having to be re-run,
but didn't ask FTDNA for more detailed response. I 'think' that my brother's
'missing' SNPs are M37, M153, M160 which is slightly different than the
M222, M160 and M37 in your reference.

I had a reply from David Wilson on some of those SNPs.

"FTDNA has had problems testing M160 and M37 with several individuals. "

"M160 and M37 are complete rarities. I don't know of a single instance of
either one found since they were first reported in Underhill's 2000 article."

The surname involved with the SNPs I mentioned was also from Germany
(Laminack) from Lauterecken, Germany, but I doubt there's any connection with your
Glass surname. He matches the Ui Neill or NW Irish modal to a "T". After
looking at the STRs David Wilson said he should test positive for M222.
