According to the Roman historian, Suetonius (70 ca.125 CE), shortly after the General Flavius Vespasian put an end to the years of turmoil that followed the death of Nero, a genealogist presented to the new emperor proof positive that he was a direct descendant of Heracles! If only more people today were as level-headed as Vespasian. He burst in laughter and then had the man thrown-out into the street.
Obviously, pop-genealogy pays well.
