Both Torroni and Salas have various records deposted at GenBank, but they may
not include the specific ones for those two articles. When I look at the
"Links" URL for those articles at PubMed, there's no cross-reference to the
Nucleotide database. (Long URLs, end in _docsum):

Bill Hurst mentioned a collection of Torroni's sequences at Ian Logan's site.
They're linked to a more recent article. If you look at the "Links" for it,
you'll see a listing for Nucleotide, which you can follow. There might be some
overlap with the 2001dataset.
