Hi Dale,
I am the one asking the question about the Celtic origins. I wasn't sure if
they started in Russia and then moved west, south and east.

area of Austria and Switzerland, then spread into southern Germany, the
low countries, France, Iberia, northern Italy, portions of eastern
Europe, and even afar as Galicia in middle Anatolia. The words Gaul
(e.g., Gallic & Gaelic) and Celt (Keltoi) appear to have the same
origins, being the Latin and Greek interpretations of the name that
these peoples had for themselves.
But, their origins began with the earliest appearance of their cultural
remains in central Europe - Austria and immediately adjacent areas.
