I don't know. My belief is that they would be extremely rare in Western
Europe these days, having disappeared for the most part. Some of the ancient
and prehistoric mtDNA will have survived, but much less of the y-dna. As I
understand it, even some of the mtDNA haplogroups once found in Western
Europe are now extinct there. Why should we think the scenario was different
with regard to some of the older y-haplogroups once found there?
