It says that haplogroup J2 originated in the Northern Portion of the Fertile
Crescent. Which countries today would this correspond to? Turkey, Syria?
Iraq? Iran? I have also read that it originated in northwestern Iran? Does
anyone really know where specifically J2-M172 originated?
