Hi everyone,

According to the Genographic project mtDNA haplogroup U5 ''is found outside
of Scandinavia, though at much lower frequencies and at much lower genetic
diversity. Does this mean then that it may have actually evolved in
Scandinavia and then spread out from there in Europe? WHat would it mean
when U5 is found in Britain? WOuld it have probably been there since the end
of the ice age or would it have come over with later migrants from

Y-DNA J2a1*
mtDNA U5a
