John C
you concede everything I say and then deny it. You say there "*will be*" a steady state; but you deny that there is now a steady state or even a quasi steady state and give no reason for your assertion. I am willing to concede my equation might have been wrong; but you've given no replacement eqn.
I could have improved my equation by adding a term for % recent African DNA in the European population. But that appears to be small, and I was merely commenting on the abstract's content.
And the complete replacement I was talking about was the complete replacement of recent African YDNA and mtDNA by European DNA. My point was that the replacement of recent African DNA in the autosomes follows a MUCH different generational curve from the curve for yDNA or mtDNA; and the second point was that one over-simplification that many people have is forgetting the "pass for white" effect (no perjoratives implied since all Europeans (or most all) "pass for "not from Africa"".))
