Good morning Ken!

Greetings from Sunny, chilly, Point Roberts, WA!

You won't recall me, John Fisher, but you gave me a tremendous lot of advice
and help until I dropped off the edge of the genealogical world more than two
years ago. I did enjoy your vast knowledge of this field, reading everything
that you wrote in helping others.

My wife became completely crippled and there just weren't enough hours in the
day to keep everything going. Since then I've forgotten just about everything
that I thought I knew!

My wife's family have an interesting history on the frontier. One of her
ancestors, Colonel Billie Messenger, fought in the French Indian wars and then in
the Revolution. They were, apparently, in Deerfield, MA, the famous Indian
Raid where the Indians took many captives back to Canada with them. Later the
family took up, or traded for, land in the WESTERN RESERVE (?) which was
somewhere further west on the Frontier.

Tragedy struck me a couple of years ago when a virus destroyed a goodly part
of my genealogy. I've now got a Mac, which people say is relatively safe, and
download everything weekly.

Have you been able to make any Great Leaps Forward in the past two or three
years?

Yesterday I received my stepdaughter's mtdna results, which, of course, (I
hope), would also apply to her mother, my wife. I can't make anything out of
them. Can you help us? ....

Her customer code is: 34MZ5T
YSTR Sample code is: AN7Y477

My next question is, what would you recommend for me to read to refurbish my
mind on this subject.

Thank you for your time in reading all this ... Please put my babbling down
to just being so pleased to see a "familiar face" again!

Cheers! John Fisher ... Who, unfortunately, had to sell my beautiful Chris
Craft when my wife got worse. ... Do you still have your boat?
