Thanks much Ken. Yes, V83H6 is one of mine (now up to 25 markers, on his way to 37, but not yet in ysearch).
I have not been paying attention to the "old I1c = new I1b2a" discussion, but I do now remember your comments that Family Tree DNA has not yet begun using the most recent haplogroup naming conventions. How disappointing.
At 25 markers, this individual is a genetic distance of 3 from your I1b2a*-Root 1 and Root 2 modal haplotypes.
