AT THE MOMENT, the opponents of R1a "Arian" invasion are prevailing,
having received support from Sengupta 2006, who clearly demonstrated
that the great diversity of Rs in India is not consistent with R1a
coming to India as part of the (relatively recent) "Arian invasion".

It seems to me that it is possible that the original "Indo-Arians"
belonged to the Haplogroup L, not R1a.
