Subject: [DNA] EA Oppenheimer results

Santa's Elves have been busy over Christmas: I too just received my Oppenheimer Interpretation from EA.
It translates my data to "R1b-11" of which the certificate says: "The ancestor of R1b-11 and R1b-12 arrived in the British Isles from Iberia with fishermen and hunter-gatherers during the Mesolithic Period around 10,000 years ago."
That is fine as it goes: at least it allows me to re-read "The Origins of the British" with a little more feeling of personal involvement, but I still have a question keeping me awake at night: viz. How does R1b-11 relate to my known R1b1c* SNP results (my "S" series results are pending from EA) and my 67 markers at Y-search H3EQG? In other words, I still have no more than an opinion, albeit of a respected scientist, on which to base my understanding of the past.
And a further question: When, in the above quote Oppenheimer says that the R1b-11/12 "arrived in the British Isles from Iberia", he seems to suggest that the founding event had taken place either in Iberia or en route to Britain where it arrived fully fledged. However, Appendix C - Figure A4 (pp438-9 in my copy), indicates that the founding event of "R1b-11" possibly occurred in Britain itself, downstream from "Ruy" and "R1b-11'13". The map on the "Certificate of DNA Interpretation" shows "R1b-11" distributed across much of western France, the Netherlands, Danemark and up into Norway (and across Doggerland) at a frequency of about 2.5%, but at 10-12.5% in what looks like Anglesea in Wales and near Aberdeen in Scotland (it is hard to tell exact location and density on the tiny map).
So, what was the direction of the gene flow: is the Continental "R1b-11" the result of my ancestor sowing his wild oats while on his one-way trip to Aberdeen (my paper-trail genealogy leads to Nairnshire/Morayshire to the east of Aberdeen) or some of my later ancestors scattering theirs while touring the Continent?
