You have to separate the effects of different modal values for DYS388 in
different clades of J from the effects of variance of 388 within each clade.
The former does not reflect directly on the mutation rate of DYs388.
Different founders by the figurative throw of the dice take on their
founding haplotypes from the parent population from which they emerge.
