David,
East Anglia E3b is at about 3-4%, according to Capelli's and Sykes' data.
So 2.1% is only a bit lower. If the third E3b proves out then you will have
reached slightly more than 3% (3/93). That is significant, although not a
high number.
I hope that this new study (U of East Anglia), when published, gives the
locations of the samples geographically.
On the subject of EA E3b1's, is the family of William Goodrich participating
yet? They are solidly proved from Hessett, Suffolk. I could contact them
to encourage their participation if that would be helpful.
On the Clarke claiming descent from Bradford, Suffolk; that probably should
read Bradwell, Suffolk. There is another individual who is 12/12 with this
haplotype, also Clark who has apparently proved his ancestry to Bradwell.
This would make much more sense with the Roman hypothesis also, since
Bradwell is very near Burgh Castle and Caistor-by-Sea, both sites of Roman
settlements/shore forts.
