John, I consider you have become obsessive on this issue, but having my
words being poorly woven into others' messages on a repeated basis, perhaps
I could become comparably cranky on the issue. I am close to taking another
approach: perhaps I'll just send a disclaimer message to the list on a
weekly basis saying that any trust in the proper use of my words in other
peoples' messages is risky. On the other hand I am thinking about just
stating what I understood others to mean in any reply messages of my own,
and to never leave anything of the previous messages of others in my
responses. Then, of course, people could respond that I don't understand
what they meant to say, and they could either dismiss me as being dense or
they could clarify their point(s). Ken
