I am really glad though that I first asked the question on the list here about my paternal line since it doesn't fit into this neat display by ISOGG. I can on paper trace my paternal line back to 1569 (and slightly earlier as I know the father of this person but his birthplace I am not positive that it is Abbotts Ann, Hampshire (close to where the rest are born)) and likely by wills to 1286 at Calne, Wiltshire. But before 1286 I do not know for sure - family lore tells a story but very difficult to prove. Migration might tell the story although this pattern doesn't fit the I1B1 modal for Irish-Scot which would have been helpful!
