I must admit to having found this paper mildly disappointing.

The authors found some similarities between modern Tuscan populations
and modern Levantine populations, which is interesting. They seemed
to have made no effort at all, however, to consider any scenario to
explain this except the theory that Etruscans arrived in Italy from
the Near East.

Neither did this particular study examine any other populations in
modern Italy to provide context for this Tuscan/Levantine connection.

Haplogroup H folks should note that the authors claim to identify a
new subclade, H19.
